Encens: an experience

When I first found Encens {http://encensrevue.com/} I really though i had found some sort of retro reprint magazine of European photoshoot from the Eighties...but there were a few give-aways....Modern styling....more recent models....and current designers....but the styling was SO Eighties...and not n a side pony-tail day glo crap American Eighties kind ofway...like a intense German minimalist...Japanese insanity...Androgynous models kind of way.....like the expensive magazines I used to look at in the store but could never buy...likeTHAT!!!

Asymmetrical shirts.....Genie Pants.....bulky necklaces...wan faces with splashes  artful makeup gs becoming boys becong girls becomiys...the extreme wohip of Japanese designers...body distortion and playing with proportion.....like an amazing dream......

Then I realized it eWAS a modern magazine...just giving  deep and healthy nod to the images and styling of an era gone by...It became my new fave magazine and I loved having to nt it down since nomany eople carried it.....It used to come out seasonally in a slim volume...but now it comes out twic a year in a HUGE coffe tale book volume...a tad expensive???? Yes...but well worth it because it has duly earned it's place amongst the refrence books in my library.....

So if you are so inclined...and hav some extra cash...I implore you to pick it up...at least flip thouh it....or if anythng....come and borrow mine!!!!!
