So i know this time of year for some of us is so busy and hectic...but try to remember some of the MAGIC this time of year created...here's a little playlist i made today to keep all of us in the mood...some are somber...some are fun...but all can remind us to have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN {aka Goth Christmas}

My friend Shien Lee {http://www.dancesofvice.com/} has been kind enough to let me participate in the PHANTASMAGOREY celebration this year and last.....and yes it takes alot to get ready for it...but YES I will do it EVERY year she has it and EVERY year im asked...becaus eI love it...it's my platform...and her audiance is my people...
This "collection" started out called "Season of the Witch"...inspired by the Salem witch trials....but somehow Jan Svankmeyer got mixed in and I started calling it "Something Wicked This Way Comes"...but then again...I don't really do "Collections"...everything just blurrs togther...sometimes I focus on something more than another thing but usually my influences are pretty constant...though I am not beyond evolving....
The devils in the details they say and I am a STICKLER for details...making sure things are secured well...that theres a good balance....that every ruffle has it's place.....and yes making sure the taxedermy eyes in the deer jockstrap are actually deer eyes.....
and once everythings set...we line up...and get ready....

Ever since I was young i used to take a book and climb the tree in our yard and sit up there for HOURS...just love that feeling of height...and freedom...the weightless ness of being above the ground......sigh....I also enjoyed the adventure of the climb...the nervousness it created...the possibility of falling....it was all so amazingly magical........
Then recently i came across TREEHOTEL{http://www.treehotel.se/} in Sweden.....5 different treehouse experiences...{planned to eventually be 20}.....fully functional and each seperately amazing!!!! I mean REALLY!?!?!?!? i was gagging looking at all these amazing images.....I WANT TO GO NOW!!!!

theres alos a spa with all the amenities!!!! I REALLY want to go to this...not just to get out of the country...but to experience this amazing place...it looks like a magical fantasy...somewhere to just relax and enjoy the snowy surroundings...who knows..maybe some day.....
Karly Perez.....{www.karlyperez.com}...as you can imagine I was INSTANTLY entranced by her work...and by the fact tat the small glimpses of her studio/house look like an amazing attic or old barn...her o of a kind dolls are the brittle things my dreams are made of...chuchillian legs made of sticks and bits wood....sinewy bodies twisted and contorted....and faces that seem so sad an otherworldly....i NEED one....desperately.....I almost love her "works in progress" a bit more...so you can SEE the amazing amount of work that goes into these amazing sculptures....but then the hand stitched scraps of clothing are so endearing as well...le sigh..
I love Brooklyn Flea...but after being neck deep in hipsters {and their spawn} i start to get a little.....twitchy{ie homicidal}.....and theres one thing that will bliss me out...food.....
...So everytime I go I want to stop at "DOUGH"and EVERYTIME I pass this booth they are SOLD OUT...which makes me want them even more...but THIS TIME I was smart...I was EARLY...and u know

oh yeah...you heard me.....I'm a sucker for exotic flavourings...and "DOUGH" definately has that!!!! and the Hyacynth DID NOT dissapoint! Candied oranges....Earl Grey tea.....cocoa nibs....Passion fruit...Dulce de Leche....Chipotle chocolate with raspberry drizzle.....oh yeah...it's THAT kind of place!!!! The second time I went back i got the Early Grey and chocolate.....I mean really?!?!?!?!? Someone kill me....
I heard their shop is in Bed Stuy...gotta make a pilgramage out ther...but until then...Let me get my stick so i can beat away the hipsters.....
